How many days do I have to wait to file a default hearing?

I served my daughter's father with court papers on June 23rd, (therefore June 24th is considered day 1). The courts told me he has 20 days to file a response or he defaults. Does that mean 20 days or 20 business days (not including Saturday and Sunday)? My instructions don't specify.
