When 50 g of ethyl alcohol is added to 40 g of water, a solution is formed. Which statement is incorrect?

D, water is the solute in this solution, is the answer. Water is dissolving the Ethyl alcohol, and you can tell by the fact that the alcohol is being added in. Whatever is being added in is the solute (what is being dissolved) and whatever the solute is being added to is the solvent (what is dissolving the solute).
