Can someone immigrate again after their green card has been taken away and deported?

I have a friend (really, not me) who is getting her permanent resident alien status taken from her and is being deported for smoking weed and resisting arrest, among other things. She grew up in the U.S... is there any hope for her ever being able to live here again legally?
