How can i get my Droid 2 to turn back on?

my droid 2 was outside for a couple of hours (its about 70 degrees out so i don't think it overheated) and the sprinklers were about to come on so i brought it inside. I woke it up and saw that i had a bunch of notices at the top. I started to unlock it when the red light at the top turned on, it vibrated, and powered off. It had 90 percent battery so it didn't turn off due to that but now i can't get it to turn back on. I pulled the battery and that didn't work so i plugged it in and it still wont start up. The only response i can get from it is the little white light that turns on when you charge it. I've never had this problem before and i have had the phone since it came out. Please help!
