A friend of mine wants to get deport from united states?

one of my friend really wants to go back to his own country , but he lost his passport , his Lawyer said" if he lost his passport then there is no way he can go home but stay ." my friend has a green card so i think in order to sent him back he have to do somethings , my question is what? NO killing ( i hope)
